Accessibility
Elizabeth Smith Paper Designs wants everyone to be able to browse and order from our shop, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We do not use accessibility overlay widgets; instead we fix accessibility in the site itself.
What we have done
- Text descriptions (alt text) on our product photos
- Color contrast checked across the site, including menus, buttons and forms
- Clear, visible focus outlines for people who navigate with a keyboard
- Labeled form fields, including personalization and photo upload
- Animations that stop for visitors who have "reduce motion" turned on, and a pause button on our homepage slideshow
- Regular automated and hands-on accessibility checks
Known limitations
- Our card designs are images. If you would like a design described in more detail, just ask and we will be happy to help.
- The photo preview on our cards is visual. You can still upload your photo and place your order without using the preview, and we confirm placement by hand before printing.
- Some features come from third-party services (such as checkout and payment buttons), which we do not control directly.
Need help or found a problem?
If anything on our site is hard to use, please contact us. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will help you place your order another way and work to fix the problem.
